Building Stronger Communities Through Food Assistance Programs

In the heart of Corona, California, Manna House has been a beacon of hope for those in need since 1995. Operating under the auspices of Inland Vineyard Church, this community-driven food bank stands as a testament to our philosophy: "No strings attached" and "We're all in this together." Here at Manna House, we believe that food assistance programs can play a crucial role in fostering stronger, more resilient communities.

The Role of Manna House in the Community

Located at 935 McKinley Street, Manna House opens its doors every Saturday from 9 to 10 AM (except for the 5th Saturdays) to offer a welcoming environment for anyone in need of food assistance. Our unique drive-through service allows individuals and families to choose their own groceries, ensuring dignity and choice in the process. This approach not only meets immediate food needs but also empowers our guests by allowing them to select items that best fit their dietary preferences and family requirements.

No Requirements, Just Support

One of the hallmarks of Manna House is that there are no requirements to receive help. We open our doors to everyone, regardless of their situation. This commitment reflects our belief in community solidarity; we are all in this together. Whether you are facing temporary hardships or more long-term struggles, we welcome you with open arms and an abundance of food.

Local Partnerships Driving Our Mission

Manna House receives its food through generous donations from local grocery stores. By partnering with these businesses, we can provide a variety of groceries that cater to the diverse needs of our community. This collaboration not only helps us reduce food waste but also allows us to serve higher-quality products to those in need. When we work together, we can create a more sustainable food system that benefits everyone.

Supporting Health and Wellness

In addition to food assistance, Manna House proudly features a free medical clinic and a prayer booth, further demonstrating our commitment to holistic community well-being. The medical clinic provides essential health services while our prayer booth offers emotional and spiritual support. We understand that food security is just one aspect of overall health, and we strive to create a safe space where individuals can address their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

Personal Stories, Collective Impact

The stories of those we've served are what truly illuminate the impact of Manna House. One family that visited us recently shared their experience with food insecurity. After losing their job during the pandemic, they turned to Manna House for assistance. They described feeling overwhelmed and anxious about their situation. However, upon their visit, they were not only able to select food items that suited their family's tastes but also felt a sense of community and belonging. "It felt like we were not alone anymore," they said. Their gratitude echoed the sentiments of many who have walked through our doors—each story a reminder that we are building a network of support that extends far beyond the groceries we provide.

Community Involvement and Volunteer Opportunities

Manna House thrives on the support of our volunteers, who embody the spirit of community service. Whether sorting donations, assisting guests during food distribution, or offering prayers and support, volunteers play a vital role in our mission. If you’re looking to give back and make a difference, we invite you to join us. Your time and talents can help us further our reach and impact in Corona.
